Emma Thomas (she/her) is Director at Feldman Strategies, where she applies her expertise in media relations, campaign organizing, and public affairs to lead clients on the implementation of strategic communications initiatives and to elevate their profiles in the media.
She previously co-led BerlinRosen’s reproductive health, rights, and justice portfolio and voting rights work, including working on the federal repeal of the Helms and Hyde Amendments. Through this work, she secured thought leadership opportunities for statewide political leaders and led multi-organizational coalitions in the paid leave and reproductive rights spaces. Emma also developed, coordinated, and executed the national communications strategies for the most recent abortion rights cases that have come before the US Supreme Court.
Ahead of the 2020 elections, Emma advised on the development and launch of the Voter Protection Program, working with state elected leaders, law enforcement, and legal experts to protect and defend every person’s right to vote.
Emma also has experience working crisis communications for individuals and national organizations, as well as digital media expertise in a range of paid and organic markets. Prior to BerlinRosen, Emma worked at Avalere Health where she advised health providers, policymakers, and patient advocacy groups on strategic communications plans to engage with key stakeholders.
Emma is a Connecticut native and lives in Washington, DC. She holds a BA in Journalism with a certificate in Women, Leadership, and Public Policy from American University.
