Andrew Feldman is a communications strategist and founder of Feldman Strategies LLC. A firm with a record of delivering wins for clients ranging from county council candidates to prime ministers, major progressive organizations, non-profit and for profit entities. In 2015, Feldman was recognized for his work and named a “Rising Star,” by Campaigns and Elections Magazine – a prestigious honor for up and coming political professionals.

Currently, Feldman is working with progressive organizations to move their agenda forward on a national stage. He is proud to call AFT, a union of 1.6 million education professionals, a client where he uses his expertise to enhance the media coverage of AFT’s President Randi Weingarten and the union as a whole. Additionally, during the 2016 primaries he worked with SEIU, one of the largest unions in the country, to develop and execute the earned media strategy around their primary independent expenditure program.

In 2014, a midterm election year where Democrats suffered some of the worst loses in its party’s history; Feldman crafted strategy and messaging for several candidates that bucked the losing trend and won. He overcame the Republican wave by guiding Congressman John Delaney to his first reelection victory and winning Maryland’s most competitive ballot initiative with 81% of the vote. In addition, he led strategy for the most competitive State House race in Pennsylvania, overcoming an aggressive and well-funded attack ad campaign and simultaneously helped Montgomery County Maryland Councilmember Roger Berliner win re-election with 78% of the vote, overcoming a substantial  early fundraising disadvantage.

In 2012, Feldman served as the Political Director to John Delaney for Congress, one of the most competitive Congressional races in the country that year. Feldman’s work played a large part in the resulting victory, which unseated a 20-year Republican incumbent. Prior to his role as the Delaney Campaign Political Director, Feldman spent several years working on campaigns ranging from city council to the presidency of the United States. He also worked in government, most notably doing advance work for the Office of the Vice President and in the private sector for Devine Mulvey and Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communication, leading media and public relations firms.

Feldman graduated from The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs with a BA in Political Communication.

Ramzey Smith comes to Feldman Strategies as an associate straight from the newsroom. With a background in television news, Ramzey is able to provide unique insight as he supports Feldman Strategies’ diverse list of clients.

In 2012, Smith embarked on an ambitious journalism career that would eventually land him in the nation’s capitol. He joined ABC News Orlando Affiliate, WFTV, just as the country began reacting to the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in nearby Sanford. Things turned political when he accepted a producer position with Waterman Broadcasting in Fort Myers, weeks before the reelection of President Barack Obama and Florida Governor Rick Scott. In 2015, he traded Florida’s sunshine for the hustle and bustle of the northeast after being one of nine journalists nationwide selected for the NBC News Associate Program. During his time with NBC Philadelphia, he covered a number of national news stories, including Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S and the deadly Amtrak derailment. After a short stint in D.C. local news, Ramzey decided to make a shift to public relations, accepting his current role with Feldman Strategies in January of 2017.

A native of Orlando, Florida, Smith graduated from Florida A&M University’s School of Journalism and Graphic Communication with a Bachelor’s of Science in Broadcast Journalism. He currently resides in Washington, D.C.
